Royal Bank of Canada’s New Data Centre

LMG has been awarded the supply and installation of the fully intelligent cabling infrastructure for RBC’s new Data Centre in Slough. The solution, designed to support 100GBE, is based upon Commscope’s Cat6A copper and OM4 & OS1 fibre cabling and will include their imVision AIM platform. RBC were looking for a partner that could not only install the physical cabling but also provide the imVision integration with their existing Nlyte DCIM system. This £1m fast-track project consists of approximately 120 cabinets and will complete in May this year. Once complete, AIM/DCIM integration – a relatively new innovation, will enable RBC to improve data centre efficiency and productivity. This integrated platform will be the template for all future RBC data centres around the world.
