Smart Building Solutions Designer Lead

About LMG

LMG has been at the forefront of innovation within the built environment since 1986.

We deliver integrated smart building technology projects and support services which provide sustainable long-term growth and profitability, as well as diverse range of career opportunities; enabling both our people and our clients’ businesses to flourish, whilst setting a new standard for what is possible in the built environment.

As experts in smart building technology, we want to inspire new ways of thinking, deliver excellence and establish new models for doing business – with people, partners and customers – built on trust and shared values, rather than transactional relationships.

Alongside actively working to support the raising of standards in training and professional qualifications, we invest heavily in the development of our people. We give them access to continuous learning opportunities, leading to the freedom of working autonomously and making their own informed decisions, whilst benefiting from a supportive and collaborative working environment.

About Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Smart Building Solutions Design Lead to join our Pre-Sales & Pre-Construction team.

In this role, you’ll take a leading position in shaping LMG’s Smart Building solutions from the very first enquiry through to contract award and pre-construction handover. You’ll work across a wide range of technologies — including MSI services, IoT, ICT infrastructure, networking, electronic security and audio-visual — designing integrated solutions that meet and exceed our clients’ technical, commercial and operational requirements.

You’ll play a key role in managing bids, developing designs and cost models, and guiding both clients and internal teams through complex Smart Building opportunities. Following contract award, you’ll remain closely involved during pre-construction, ensuring designs are robust, compliant and ready for successful delivery and long-term operation.

This role offers significant exposure across the business and real scope for progression, making it ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical depth, commercial thinking and leadership within a fast-moving Smart Buildings environment.
